DRM: Starforce DRM Unplugs Old Holes

Bad news for gamers. There's a new kind of DRM software out there, infecting your PC and causing some serious security holes (which Microsoft actually patched), not to mention it could potentially render your CD drive inoperable. It's called Starforce, and it's much like the DRM software Sony tried to get away with using. The site linked here will tell you some of the games infected, as well as how to figure out if your machine has this sneaky little piece of malware installed on it. There's an ininstaller, but you won't be able to play your Starforce-enabled game anymore. They're spearheading a boycott as well as gathering more information as it becomes available.
