Civil Unions become law in the U.K.

Today, and in the coming days around the different 'states' of the United Kingdom, Gay folk can now perform Civil Union ceremonies, granting them the same rights and responsibilities of a regular married couple. Now come on. Was that so hard? Even the hardcore Catholic British are letting it go! Two Gay guys getting married isn't going to make my future marriage to whatever woman I marry any less significant. Why? Because it doesn't freakin' bother me. It's not my business. They're human beings, they deserve the same rights. That simple. Y'all go ahead and get your "I Do" on! (Link)
